Bangladesh has published its official roadmap for the Hajj 2027 season, setting out a detailed timeline that asks prospective pilgrims to complete registration by September 26, 2026. The Ministry of Religious Affairs released the schedule through its Hajj-1 Branch, urging all concerned to follow the announced dates closely.

The roadmap follows the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's announcement of the Hajj 2027 schedule at a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29, 2026. Saudi Assistant Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah formally handed the roadmap to Bangladesh's Religious Affairs Minister, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, who attended as an invited guest.

Key Dates for Pilgrims

According to the ministry, the registration period for Bangladeshi pilgrims runs from July 26 to September 26, 2026. The pre-registration fee has been set at 30,000 Bangladeshi taka.

Pilgrims' information must be uploaded to the Masar Nusuk system between August 14, 2026, and January 28, 2027. The ministry said the transfer of Saudi-side expenses to the e-wallet of the Masar Nusuk platform will continue from July 15 to December 24, 2026.

The bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia is scheduled to be signed on November 8, 2026. Agreements for service packages, covering tents, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering and transport through the Masar Nusuk platform, will be signed between July 29, 2026, and January 23, 2027.

Visas and Flights

The issuance of Hajj visas will begin on January 28, 2027, the ministry said. Hajj flight operations are scheduled to start on April 8, 2027.

The Hajj itself is expected to be observed on May 15, 2027, corresponding to 9 Dhul Hijjah, subject to the sighting of the moon. As with every year, the exact date depends on the lunar calendar and the official moon sighting closer to the time.

Agreements with airlines designated to carry Hajj pilgrims, along with the completion of related documentation in the Masar Nusuk system, will be carried out between July 29 and November 8, 2026.

A Wider Trend

Bangladesh is not alone in moving early. Several countries have opened Hajj 2027 registration well ahead of the season. Pakistan launched its online registration drive in June 2026, with more than 150,000 people signing up within the first ten days. Nigeria and other nations have likewise begun allocating slots and urging early registration.

The shift reflects Saudi Arabia's increasingly digital and front-loaded planning model, built around the Nusuk and Masar Nusuk platforms. Earlier deadlines give authorities more time to finalise accommodation, transport and service contracts before pilgrims arrive.

Practical Advice

Bangladeshi pilgrims planning for 2027 should act on a few practical points. First, ensure passports remain valid well beyond the travel period and renew early if needed. Second, complete pre-registration within the July to September window rather than waiting until the deadline, as places are limited. Third, deal only with government-approved agencies and keep records of all payments. Finally, watch for official ministry notices on Masar Nusuk uploads and package agreements, since missing a step in the digital chain can delay or jeopardise a booking.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged all stakeholders to complete Hajj-related activities strictly in line with the published roadmap to avoid last-minute complications.
