Saudi authorities have intensified religious guidance and awareness programs inside the prayer rooms of hotels surrounding the Grand Mosque, coinciding with the start of the 1448 AH Umrah season. According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the effort is led by its General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness during Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah, and aims to help pilgrims from every nation perform their rites correctly and with peace of mind.
Guidance Delivered in Several Languages
The ministry said instructional talks and short lessons are now held after prayers in the hotel prayer rooms, delivered in several world languages. The multilingual format is designed to reach pilgrims of different nationalities and help them carry out the rituals of Umrah and their acts of worship in line with the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah.
The programs cover the rulings of Umrah and the etiquette of visiting the Grand Mosque. Scholars and guides also answer worshippers' questions about acts of worship, and offer reminders that reinforce Islamic values and highlight the virtue and standing of Makkah. According to the ministry, the goal is to fulfil the aims of lawful religious awareness while making it easier for the guests of God to complete their rites.

Awareness and guidance material is now broadcast in several languages through electronic screens, which the ministry says broadens the number of pilgrims who benefit from the messages and raises the overall quality of services.
