Why This Journey

وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ

Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam - an obligation, once in a lifetime, upon every Muslim who is physically and financially able. For many pilgrims it becomes the single most moving experience of their lives, and the preparation matters as much as the journey itself.

This guide was written so that no pilgrim arrives unprepared:

Whoever performs Hajj for the sake of Allah and does not utter any obscene speech or do any evil deed, will go back (free of sin) as his mother bore him.
