Bangladesh has announced its official Hajj packages for the 2027 season, setting the highest government package at Tk 6,15,263 and the lowest at Tk 5,05,648. Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain unveiled the packages at a press briefing at the Secretariat in Dhaka, according to news agency UNB.
The announcement gives Bangladeshi pilgrims an early view of costs and conditions for next year's pilgrimage, well ahead of the 1448 AH Hajj season. Officials also confirmed a reduction in the cost of Hajj flights, a change likely to be welcomed by many intending pilgrims.
What the government packages include
Under the first government package, pilgrims will be accommodated within 1,000 to 1,400 metres of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and in the Markazia area of Madinah, close to Masjid an-Nabawi. They will stay in Zone-2 tents in Mina, while services and meals in Mina and Arafat will be provided under Service Package-3 through authorised Moallems.
The expected stay in Saudi Arabia under the first package is between 35 and 40 days. The minister said pilgrims will have options to upgrade rooms or choose a shorter package by paying additional charges.
Pilgrims under the second government package will stay within two to three kilometres of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and within 800 metres of Masjid an-Nabawi, outside the Markazia area, in Madinah. Accommodation in Mina will be arranged in Zone-5 tents. Shuttle bus, known as Salawat, services will be provided in line with Saudi rules if hotels are located more than two kilometres from the Grand Mosque.
Private package and airfare cut
For pilgrims travelling through private Hajj agencies, the cost of the standard package has been set at Tk 5,13,648. Under the private package, accommodation must be arranged within three kilometres of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and within one kilometre of Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah.
A maximum of six pilgrims will be allowed in each room under the private package. Pilgrims will stay in Zone-5 tents in Mina, while services and meals in Mina and Arafat will be provided under Service Package-3. Salawat bus services will be mandatory if hotels are located more than two kilometres from the Grand Mosque.
The minister said the airfare for Hajj flights has been reduced by Tk 24,830 from the previous year's fare, bringing it down to Tk 1,30,000. He said the government's aim is to ensure an affordable, accessible, humane and expatriate-friendly Hajj management system.

Bangladesh's announcement comes as several countries move early on Hajj 2027 preparations. Saudi Arabia has begun its own preparations for the 1448 AH season, introducing an integrated service model that bundles accommodation in Makkah and Madinah with transport and catering into unified packages. Neighbouring countries have opened registration drives and set firm deadlines, reflecting a wider trend toward earlier, more organised planning.
Cost remains a central concern for pilgrims across the region, with prices generally rising in recent years due to accommodation, transport and service charges. Against that backdrop, Bangladesh's decision to cut the Hajj airfare and publish detailed package conditions early gives intending pilgrims more time to budget and to choose the option that best suits their needs.

Bangladeshi pilgrims should compare the government and private packages carefully, weighing the distance of accommodation from the two Holy Mosques against the total cost. Those who value proximity to Masjid al-Haram may prefer the first government package, while pilgrims seeking a lower price can consider the second package or a private agency.
Intending pilgrims are advised to confirm all figures, deadlines and conditions through the Ministry of Religious Affairs and only book through registered, authorised agencies.
