Saudi Arabia has opened an early registration-of-interest process for international pilgrims planning to perform Hajj in 2027 (1448 AH). The process runs through the official Nusuk Hajj platform, giving prospective pilgrims a way to signal their intent months before packages are formally released.

The move is part of a broader push by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to digitise and organise international Hajj services well ahead of the season. It comes as the ministry begins preparatory meetings with Hajj affairs offices from more than 75 countries.

How the registration of interest works

According to information published on the Nusuk Hajj platform, the registration allows prospective pilgrims from around the world to submit their details and indicate their interest in obtaining a package when one becomes available for their country.

Saudi authorities stressed one important point clearly: submitting the registration-of-interest form does not constitute a confirmed Hajj booking. Applicants who submit their information will be notified later, once packages for their respective markets are released and formal booking procedures open.

For pilgrims in Western countries, Nusuk has been the exclusive booking channel for several years. Bookings for these countries can no longer be arranged through traditional travel agencies, so registering early on the platform is the correct first step.

The registration process is one strand of Saudi Arabia's early groundwork for the 1448 AH season. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has begun a series of preparatory meetings with Hajj affairs offices worldwide, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Hajj 1448 AH is expected to fall in the spring of 2027, with the exact dates confirmed by the sighting of the crescent moon. Package availability, accommodation and transport details for various countries are expected in the coming months.
